COVID AND VISA
At Luxury Travel Planner (LTP) we want to take the stress out of travel with the ever-changing environment in regards to COVID-19. It has changed the way we travel. Each country and transit city have their own rules when it comes to travelling, and if not followed your travel plans can be affected.
At LTP, we have teamed up with Sherpa and given you a tool at your disposal to use to check over the current travel requirements for your forthcoming trip. We recommend you check when you get your documentation then 7 days, 3 days and on the day of travel as requirements can change within hours.
Please follow the step by step guide below on how to use the Sherpa tool with LTP.
1 - LINK
When you have booked and paid in full for your next adventure with LTP whether it is personal or business you will be sent a link via email or SMS. You will need to click on the link and enter your email address on the pop-up screen, this is for privacy.
2 - Travel Requirements
When you are in Umapped you will see at the top screen a tab called “Travel Requirements” you will need to click on this link (see picture)
Enter in details
Once you have clicked on this link you will need to use the below fields to get the correct information. Please make sure that all information is correct and entered. You must include any transit city on your flight. For example: if you are flying from Sydney to London and your flight goes via Singapore then you must include Singapore as a transit stop.
The below fields will need to be entered -

3 - Results
On this next page, you go through every item. This will give you a summary of the information you have entered please cross-check the information is correct. See the screenshot below.
You will need to click on the drop-down menu on each of the items.
Departure information
The first part should be about the departure information and requirements for leaving the country of origin.
Transit
If you have put in a transit city, this information will appear here on what you need to do if you are transiting.
Tests
Normally you need to do a test before you get on an international or domestic flight. This will be a PCR test, Antigen Test and/or a Rapid Test. Please make sure you note down the time frame that you took the test as some places require a negative test result anywhere from 72 to 24 hours.
Please note most international airports in Australia have a 2-hour turnaround testing clinic at the airport. Please check with your international airport of departure if they have a testing clinic. If you travelling internationally and you still need a PCR test, please arrive at the airport with enough time to process the result and check-in, most check-in desks close 1 hour before the flight and the check-in counter opens 3 hours before the flight departure time for most airlines.
TIP: at LTP we recommend getting a Rapid test done 3 days prior to departure. If negative this is good news but we advise you to try to isolate yourself at home before your international flight. If you test positive, you will need to contact your Travel Planner ASAP to try to change your flights or cancel your booking to reduce any cancellation fees by suppliers. Please note LTP fees will still apply on cancelled bookings. Any commission made on the booking will be held on file as travel credit for future travel.
VISAS
The next field will be VISA requirements, which includes eVisa and ESTA.
A lot of travellers can forget to do their eVisa. This process will remind you to complete it. Please make sure this is done no later than 72 hours before your departure.
Documents required
These are all action points that need to be done before you leave. Please make sure they are actioned. For example your proof of your vaccination certificate and any other online forms or apps that are needed for the country you are travelling to.

4 -AIRLINE
Please also check with the airline(s) too that you travelling on. They might have their own rules when flying. Please also check on the mask policy. And it is important to note that some airlines are offering a limited service due to COVID measures.
5 - INSURANCE
Please make sure that you have travel insurance that covers you for COVID. A lot of insurance companies don't have coverage when it comes to COVID related matters. Please talk with your Travel Planner about the best travel insurance policy to suit your needs and refer to the PDS with the supplier.
