Name - Anonymous

When did you book - Travel Expo Airlines Flown on - Air New Zealand, United Airlines, Lufthansa and Qantas round the world business class on Luftansha Cabin - Business Class The best feature of the flights- no one feature stands out. For the most part the service levels are high in Business Class. Was praised on the Qantas Flight for being low maintenance. Didn’t want the dinner or alcohol, just drank water or tea when offered and if that is defined as low maintenance so be it. Where did you go on your trip - Washington, Munich, Glasgow, Douglas on the Isle of Man, Manchester and Osaka.

Reason for trip- In Washington wanted to see the cherry blossoms, memorials and art. In Munich wanted to visit King Ludwig’s castles, Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, Glasgow wanted to see Dumfries House, with Douglas as my base wanted to experience the major towns on the Isle of Man having read a series of mystery books based on the Island, Manchester wanted to explore the city’s main attractions and spend a day at the Wedgwood Factory in Stoke on Trent for afternoon tea, visit the Wedgwood Museum and do a factory tour. Osaka wanted to explore Osaka and Osaka Castle. Best Hotel Stay - The Claremont Hotel was in a lovely spot facing the sea and very comfortable, the concierge service in The Charles Hotel was outstanding, service in The Crowne Plaza was excellent and love The Ritz Carlton in Osaka. Very few hotels can reach Japanese service levels. Best Meal - The tafelspitz and dessert in Weinhaus Neuner were outstanding as were the scallops in The Sound Cafe on the Isle of Man. The scallops are called “queenies” there and are smaller than Australian scallops but are extremely delicious. Tip and trick from your trip - not al, hotels have tea and coffee making facilities. Check ahead and if not take your own travel jug, tea and coffee. Get the mini bar emptied and get your own snacks etc. I also travel with my own favourite snacks. In Japan where people are very kind and helpful, take small gifts such as Tim Tams, Australian chocolate bars, beef jerky, macadamias etc for people who help you. Highlight of your trip - Each city had its own highlights, Washington for the cherry blossoms and Cezanne portrait exhibition, Munich Linderhof Castle, Glasgow, Dumfries House, Isle of Man, The Manx Museum and the beautiful scenery, Manchester John Ryland’s Library and the day at Wedgwood, Osaka - Osaka Castle. Review of Airlines and Hotels All the hotels I stayed in were fine. We all look for different things. In order of priority it is location near the main attractions, excellent concierge service, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and access to a gym.
