Qantas Melbourne lounge redevelopment

Qantas has opened a new Qantas Club in Melbourne, the first stage of the domestic lounge redevelopment at Melbourne Airport T1.

Work on a new Qantas Club and Business Lounge began in January, with construction being completed in stages to allow ongoing lounge access during the build.

The Qantas Club features modern furnishings, a new guest reception, bar, expansive buffet and an updated interior colour palette inspired by Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road. Once completed, it will also offer 10 percent more seating capacity, with room for around 530 people.

Construction of the Business Lounge will start this week and is set to open to customers in September.

Both the Qantas Club and Business Lounge will be completed and fully functional by November. Combined, the lounges will be able to accommodate around 130 more people.

The Qantas Club and Business Lounge will be distinct from each other in terms of interior design and features, but will both include:

- all-day barista coffee service

- seasonal dining with hot and cold menu options

- quench hydration station with a selection of premium non-alcoholic beverages

- business facilities including wireless printing and high speed wi-fi

- an increased number of device-charging access points

- service experience by Accor
